Mod Announcement: Rule 3 Update

Since the change of the sub, we've been seeing a lot more activity, which is nice, but we've also seen an influx of toxic behavior.

We're here today to reiterate Rule 3 and to outline specifically banned behavior.

Here's rule 3 from the wiki:

3. Trolling, creepshots, sexism, racism and otherwise uncivilized behavior will not be tolerated. This includes slurs, bigotry, and comments about 'only upvoted because X'. We want to project a welcoming environment for newcomers, for our experienced users, and for future users. Criticism is a massive part of this subreddit - it's how we improve, however blatant bashing that provides no useful feedback is not something we condone and will be removed at the discretion of the moderators. Any school shooter comments will often warrant a permanent or month long ban.

Trolling/joke comments are fine as long as they also provide legitimate constructive criticism and they aren't directly insulting the OP.

School shooter comments, i.e. "school shooter core"' or "if I saw you in my class I wouldn't show up for the next few days" are now explicitly banned. These types of comments are often coming from outside of the community, but nonetheless more often or not they will earn you a permanent or month long ban.

Any comments generalizing race/religion/sex i.e. "Why do I only see bleached haired asians on this sub?" or "This pic was only upvoted because of girl." will also warrant a permanent/month/week/3day long ban depending on the severity of the comment and will be up to the discretion of the moderator.

EDIT: /u/Bleblebob made a really good suggestion. Along the same lines of school shooter comments, homeless comments will also be explicitly banned.

TL;DR:

When you are typing a comment just ask yourself "WAAHST" (Would An Ass Hole Say This?).

If the answer is "Yes.":

Step 1: Delete the comment.

Step 2: Don't be an asshole.
