List of fashion agencies that started and developed famous streetwear brands?

Posted: 04 Jun 2017 07:06 PM PDT

I was looking at Fear of God's latest miliary sneaker and it turns out Jerry Lorenzo actually didn't design that himself. He subcontracted to another company that handled the entire thing for him, almost like a ghost-design company. It got me doing research into some of the agencies behind some of the streetwear brands we follow. I know Josh from CLSC started one, and Mega from Blackscale also used an agency initially because they couldn't handle the manufacturing. Do you guys know any of the other agencies that have produced for some of the famous brands on here? Here are some I found:

New Guards Group http://newguardsgroup.com/ Italy - Luxury Manufacturing and Development. This is probably the most prestigious one on this list. If you're signed to this agency you're automatically gonna be huge. It was founded by Marcelo Burlon. Then they did Off White, Palm Angels, Unravel, and now they're doing Heron Preston.

Search N Design www.searchndesign.com Italy - Manufacturing and Development. These guys did the military boot for Fear of God, and developed for other sneaker companies like Greats, GRDS, and BePositive.

Goose London http://www.goose.london London - Branding and PR. These guys did brand and consultation work for Diadora, Lee Jeans, Nike, O'Neill, North Face, Timberland

Systematic Fashion http://www.systematicfashion.com Toronto - Manufacturing and Development. These guys mostly develop Asian/US/Italian streetwear brands and own their own private manufacturing and distribution channels. Their biggest brand is Hater Snapback which is in like 500+ retailers worldwide. They're a boutique firm so they mostly just focus on pure streetwear labels.

ADBD http://www.adbdx.com Los Angeles - Branding and PR. These guys are a really big corporate agency that have done PR for MCM, Urban Outfitters, Bloomingdales, Selfridges, Fred Segal, RVCA, Paul Frank.

The Apparel Agency http://www.theapparelagency.com Chicago Manufacturing and Development - These guys run full product prototyping and do men's and women's fashion brands.

Back to Back PR http://www.backtobackpr.com/ Branding and PR - This is more of a PR agency but they assist with the marketing side of the brand. These guys have done Brixton, Edwin Jeans, Stance, Eastpak, Komono, and Skull Candy

SB Factory http://www.sbfactoryny.com New York - Manufacturing and PR. Works with Donna Karan, mostly does women's luxury clothing, jewellery and higher fashion clothing.

Human B http://www.humanb.com/ New York - Manufacturing, Development, PR. This company appears to do women's runway and the really difficult couture stuff.

Please list any you know of and I'll add them to the list.

Buyer Beware: This dude sells fake Goyard shoes and is being promoted by popular Instagram accounts

Posted: 04 Jun 2017 12:32 PM PDT

The leather this dude uses for his shoes is fake Goyard leather advertised as real. The instagram account @hang is promoting him and hang blocked me when I called out how it's fake. Just a heads up for anyone thinking about buying a pair.

What's one piece of clothing Streetwear can't make cool?

Posted: 04 Jun 2017 08:28 AM PDT

I just bought some linen pants and I'm not an accountant, nor am I divorced.

I saw a few fits on here rocking them and it inspired me to buy a pair.

This lead me to wonder, is there an article of clothing that Streetwear can't make cool? Post below and if you think you can make it cool, post a fit pic with it.

Online store scamming people by selling fakes claiming as authentics

Posted: 03 Jun 2017 09:44 PM PDT

First off, link : https://suburbanvintageshop.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SuburbanVintageShopOnline/

Apparently they're buying fakes and reselling for a much higher mark up to people that doesn't know claiming the stuff they're selling as "defected authetic". Saw alot of people bought it on facebook not knowing they're not real so I'm trying to prevent more from falling for this scam. Anyone with knowledge about supreme/bape can tell they're clearly fake. Basically an online version of Old School on Fairfax.

Proof that they're claiming their product is authentic with defects : https://imgur.com/a/Fi3Aw

What fragrances do you guys wear?

Posted: 04 Jun 2017 12:27 AM PDT

For me, Creed Aventus, Saint Laurent La Nuit De L'homme, Dior Sauvage, and Theirry Mugler Pure Malt are all crazy fantastic. All are insane compliment getters. They also smell extremely distinct from one another, so I have scent for any occasion. What are some of you favorites?

Alternatives to supreme tees?

Posted: 03 Jun 2017 05:14 PM PDT

I'm like those plain tees/hoodies with a single, boxed picture printed on the chest, sometimes black and white, mostly of famous paintings/people but can be anything really. Love the style but can't bring myself to wear anything with the word supreme on it, even on the tag. Any idea where you can get similar styles without the branding or pricetag?

Brands that carry "plus-size" clothing?

Posted: 03 Jun 2017 03:37 PM PDT

I've recently tried getting into streetwear but I've noticed that most big name brands don't carry my size, although I'm what I would consider a normal size, (I wear 2x) that being said, are there any brands that actually hold and stock their clothing with sizes XL and up?
