Hi guys. For the upcoming year, I'll be working alongside a few contributors on a few guides for the sidebar that hopefully will answer a lot of the simple questions that litter the front page and give some direction to newcomers.

Are there any sidebar guides you would like to see? What kind of "simple questions" do you never see properly answered here?

Please keep in mind that since this is actual content and us mods all have lives outside of moderating this sub, that the content will not come immediately.

[Review] Maison Margiela Gats

So I picked these up off of Grailed this week after selling a pair of Rafs that I got rid of due to not wearing them, and I really couldn't be happier with the purchase.

In terms of comfort, they immediately are more comfortable than brand new Common Projects Achilles, and feel really good on my relatively flat feet. The quality on these definitely rivals Common Projects in terms of leather, it is incredibly soft, and the suede is very short, but still high quality. It's definitely what you'd expect from a luxury designer sneaker.

They obviously look great, and from wearing them these past couple days, they work well with a huge amount of variation in outfits, fitting my aesthetic/style very well.

I would definitely recommend picking up a pair of these, if you can find them for less than retail.

How to improve my style as a teen with a limited budget?

Hello everybody! I am a high school student from Wisconsin looking to improve my style in 2018 and beyond. I am able to fund a relatively nice closet of clothing, as I have a job, but my parents also buy me clothes now and then as well. First off, I am 6'3" and like 145 lbs, so extremely thin for my height and age. My style currently consists of lots of clothing from American Eagle. I have many different AE hoodies, tees, khaki joggers, chinos, and a pair of dark wash and a pair of black AE jeans. I also recently picked up an olive green bomber from AE and I love it! It's my new favorite piece. I am thinking of going to my local H&M and trying out some of their stuff as well, as they are a little more affordable. I like the whole aesthetic of a hoodie and joggers/jeans, so I'd like to stay, at least for winter, in that same realm. In summer, I dress like many high school teens; a tee and jeans/khaki shorts. I am a little more willing to budge on my summer style. For shoes, I have a couple pairs of Adidas NMDs (red r2s, white Japan r1s, "white zebra" r1s) as well as a pair of Ultra Boost ATR Mids (Oreo 2.0 LTD). What are your guys' opinions on Chuck Taylor High Tops/Vans Sk8 Hi's? Those are the two shoes that I am currently eyeing that could improve my style a bit. Please feel free to offer any suggestions/tips for me. I look forward to hearing your feedback!

Hailed as master class by grailed, Stone Island has established itself as an iconic brand amongst streetwear enthusiasts as well as the conscious consumer trying to stay cozy. Their color changing fabric tech, which still seems surreal today, is but a thing of the past for this cutting edge brand.

Hailed as master class, Stone Island sees itself standing next to Margielas and Owens, but far from similar in style. And yet, it manages to excel at what it does, also distinguishing itself from similar tech styles like ACW, WTAPS, ARC, etc.

On behalf of all Stone Island loyalists, tech wear fanatics, and all street wear enthusiasts, I humbly request the green and yellow compass be added to flair options.

/r/Streetwear 2017 Award Ceremony

Welcome to the /r/Streetwear 2017 Fit Awards

Throughout the year, the whitelisted users of the sub post interesting and stylish fits so we thought why not celebrate these fits. Last week users had the chance to vote for their favourite fits.

The award for the Best Male Fit Overall goes to: /u/SirGrapes for this fit featuring Y-3 Stan Smith Zips.

The award for the Best Female Fit Overall goes to: /u/bbbunny___ for her fit showing off her MM6 margiela front zips and the Junya watanabe ss03
