[DISCUSSION] Visiting Mexico, Anything cool streetwear related?

I'm leaving for Mexico in about 5 days, but the hypebeast in me isn't staying, so I was wondering if anyone knows about any cool places or locations that I should visit that include hype stuff and streetwear related stuff? It can include anything from things such as Stone Island to Supreme and Yeezys.

Also would it be cheaper to buy items from there rather than here?

Hi, I'm new to reddit, so if this post is better suited for the general discussion or r/streetwearstartup just lmk.

Stripped away from the brand and weight that it carries (Ex: Supreme, Palace, CDG Play, etc.), what do you guys look for in the streetwear that you decide to purchase? And, what is it about a lot of streetwear startups that come off as generic and basic, and what are examples of up and coming streetwear brands that are actually doing something unique?

From my own experience browsing streetwear forums, a lot of complaints stem from the generic "cool" logo printed on the Gildan tee, priced at $35 - 40 USD. I would also like more insight as to what you dislike about a lot of streetwear startup designs that you see (no examples tho, I don't want to call anyone out), and examples of dope designs from other streetwear startups.

If this discussion has happened a million times before, I am sorry and just redirect me to the post, or if anyone has articles on how newer streetwear brands were able to blow up and grow within the past 5 to 10 years, I would really appreciate it.

I am asking because I am genuinely curious about what this community thinks, and am very annoyed at multiple clothing start ups at my university that have gotten immensely popular with tees that just print the brand name on them, like "Petal + Rose" in an italic font.

A while back when I was getting into fashion and streetwear specifically, I constantly found myself in the r/streetwearstartup sub looking for inspo. People's interpretations of various styles in their startups helped me round out my "style". Eventually I was looking around through so many people's clothing brands that I felt like a list would be helpful to organize the amount of cool stuff I was finding. Someone made a great one a while back that many people referenced and discovered brands through, but deleted it from their Google drive permanently, and it was lost.

Since I've been seeing some posts around here recently asking for advice concerning brand choices, I decided to start my own list, and here it is below, alphabetically sorted. There's everything from huge labels everybody and their parents know about, to tiny brands that nobody has ever heard of. I guarantee you'll see a lot you've never seen before, and maybe even like some of it. Sorry for including brands like Adidas and Cav Empt, that everyone is aware of, but since I use this list as my personal bookmarks, I'm keeping them. So the other day I was in Brooklyn in Urban Outfitters and saw this pair of overalls on sale . I've been wanting to experiment more with what I wear, especially pants wise, so I got em.

So to further myself with changing up my style a little, how do you guys recommend I wear the overalls? They are kinda whack but they're cool, and they fit pretty baggy on me.

Basically, if anybody has any good inspo albums for baggy pants and/or overalls I'd love to see them. Also, any ideas for outfits specifically for those overalls would be great. Lastly, I just want to hear how I can get going with baggy stuff; including pants and stuff on top that you guys would recommend.

So I just bought the 100% cotton creatch cargo and was wondering if the fit is identical throughout the seasons. As earlier seasons like FW17 was the cotton nylon blend and ss17 fw18 is 100% cotton as far as I know. From the pics I saw online the cotton nylon blend seems to fit more slim and stacks better, is this correct? Or do they fit the same throughout all of the seasons. And is 100% cotton better/thicker quality wise though?

Hi all,

I am working on my streetwear brand and I have the option to embroider my logo. I think this is much better quality and more sustainable, but if so, why does literally none of the large to small players embroider theirs? I almost havent seen a tshirt with an embroidered logo. Is there something I dont know? Or should I just go for DTG or Screen printing. Same goes for my hoodies.
P.S. Its not Gildan, I got cut and sew.
