[DISCUSSION] Creature Tee on denim jacket Posted: 30 Oct 2018 08:33 PM PDT Here's the shirt https://www.warehouseskateboards.com/creature-skateboards-viscerous-black-men%27s-short-sleeve-t-shirt-large It's a small and I bought it a few years back. It no longer fits me and I figured I'd preserve it by getting it cut out and sewn on a black denim jacket. Dope or greasy hair core? [link] [comments]

[ART] Interchangeable Flannel concept design Posted: 30 Oct 2018 04:43 PM PDT Hey guys, I'm doing research on a business project for school. I have to design a business concept which is interchangeable flannel sleeves. If you could fill this quick survey out, I'd really appreciate it. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1yfzBUH33a187sTv4R7rOgw1yNfUK4t5gpeGBmrtS7Ik/edit Also feel free to comment with feedback as this is my first time designing fashion products. Posted: 30 Oct 2018 01:20 PM PDT Hello friends, As I consider the recent statements from Kanye West and take a more critical eye to current events, I am becoming increasingly curious if the designers visions are inherently attached at some level to the products they produce. TL;DR: At what point does the artist's views become indispensable from the art? For the simplest example, we can look at Wests' recent support of the U.S. president and urging individuals to leave the democratic party. For me, this puts me off from wearing any of my Yeezy gear as I feel I am supporting someone with ideals I fundamentally disagree with. While understandably it can be written off as "just clothes" and is entirely subjective, I am curious to hear other viewpoints on this topic. [link] [comments]

[DISCUSSION] Anyone else not into Instagram? Posted: 30 Oct 2018 10:30 AM PDT Like the title says, I'm wondering if I'm the only one. Now let me start of by saying that I don't consider myself a streetwear kind of guy, but I do have a lot in common with what I've seen here so far. I've just never been into the sharing part of the hobby, so to speak. For the past 9 years or so I've been developing my own tastes and looks without ever being a carbon copy of someone I deemed 'cool'. I never saw the point in sharing my looks in order to get confirmation that my look is great. When you put together a nice outfit, you simply know? Don't you? I'll excuse myself in advance for sounding pretentious, but I just can't help but feel like I'm the only one. There certainly must be other guys that love (vintage) clothing, love looking cool and enjoy being ahead of the curve without the desire for likes. There's definitely a difference between posting on this subreddit (a modern day fan forum of sorts) and plastering your looks all over social media. Perhaps I'm becoming an old man yelling at clouds in my early twenties, who knows... [link] [comments] |
