Posted: 28 Nov 2021 06:00 AM PST WDYWT Megathread Trial is Over10 weeks ago, we asked what you wanted to see out of this subreddit. One suggestion that had traction both in the feedback thread and from regulars was to move back to something like the whitelist. The idea behind this is simple: the front page might get crowded with poor quality fits and this requires users to post and engage in megathreads before they're allowed to post standalone WDYWT fits to the front page. It's been controversial before, but we figured we'd give it another go, first by seeing if people would even post in a WDYWT megathread. They didn't, it was a total failure. We are a little surprised, given how successful the structure has been for other fashion subreddits, but clearly it won't work here. This doesn't mean we aren't concerned for the implications for the sub of why it didn't work. Here's a comment chain on why it might be bad that people aren't discussing anything, a problem we were hoping to help solve with this trial. Posters can now post on the front page again, but are reminded to follow the the same rules on WDYWT that were in place before the week-long trial. This means you must include a text breakdown of your outfit, your pics must meet certain minimum photography standards, and they must be pictures of you (not someone else). We will continue to have the Simple Questions/General Discussion Megathread and Self-Promo Megathread. "Art" posts are not for advertising6 weeks ago, we announced there were (and would be more) rules changes, today we are announcing more. Go ahead and refresh yourself on the complete rules here, but the key change is highlighting that "Art" posts cannot be for items for sale. We have been removing dozens and dozens of posts a day with this flair that are just direct links to sales pages or redirects to Instagrams that are for selling goods. This is not what the Art tag is for. The Art tag is for you to show off something cool you made, wrote, drew, etc. If you want to advertise/self-promote, you can use the dedicated self-promo megathread. Flagrant or repeated violations will result in bans. We are also asking posters who use this flair to give a short writeup. It doesn't need to be a book report, just say a few words about what it is, what inspired you, what your process was, stuff like that. People are interested in your work, don't leave them hanging by posting and ghosting. Anyways, have at it in the comments. Remember rule 1, don't be an asshole. We're mods, we're people, and we're here because we give a shit about this sub, and we want it to be an awesome place, but we can't do it without your help. [link] [comments] | ||

I have a question about washing/drying expensive pieces such as bape , supreme .. etc ?? Posted: 27 Nov 2021 03:54 PM PST flip inside out and I usually put them on the "handwash setting" in my washer using cold water when washing , I usually proceed to hang dry my pieces after , but sometimes I will put it in the dryer on the delicate setting which has low tumble and not very much heat for about 10-15 minutes until it becomes damp and then I put them up to hang dry, is putting my pieces in the dryer before I hang dry them affecting them in anyway? For example should I worry about graphic cracks when I put my grails in the dryer on delicate low tumble dry for 15 mins? I just do this so when I hang dry them there not soaking wet. Let me know if I'm doing this right!?? 😂 thanks in advance [link] [comments] |
