Bullying?

Hello, just curious is anybody experience bullying for what they wear? I have noticed that whenever I'm trying something out of my comfort zone that looks cool in my opinion. I can't go by not having someone commenting on it in a bad way. Like I always have massive respect towards people that are punks, emo or whoever that dresses in a different way as this requires a lot of courage. Like this one time I went on a rave and decided to finally wear black and green misbhv sport top which I was mocked for. Like common I thought high school had bullies not adults. The same with hairstyles, I decided to change a little and do a middle part, this too isn't accepted socially? In a sense I have a feeling that this builds my character that tells me to ignore what other think which is good I guess. But sometimes I feel sorry for the sheeps that project their insecurities towards others.
