Common Projects changed my life

Posted: 12 Jan 2017 08:28 PM PST

Frankly I felt guilty about spending so much on such a basic white shoe at first, but now it's my absolute favorite. The incredible quality and detail that goes into these shoes makes me cum every night. I know some people wear these solely to flex the gold barcodes, but I would still 100% cop even without them. 100%. Best part is, you know how stan smiths leather wrinkles over time that makes them look like a grandparent? These Common Projects leather is on a whole new quality level; as it wrinkles and ages it looks even better. Fuck. It's rare for me to spend so much on a shoe and consider buying another one in the future, but I would cop a hundred more of these in a heartbeat if I had the money. Common Projects changed my life.

I wish I knew dressing nice didn't have to be expensive as a kid

Posted: 12 Jan 2017 06:17 PM PST

As a younger guy I always wore cheap crappy t-shirts and jeans etc because I had it in my head we couldn't afford nicer clothing. I looked like my mom dressed me for school up until my 19th-ish birthday. Around that time I started looking around different stores I thought were off limits to poor kids and looked online as well. Half the clothes I wanted were cheaper than what I previously bought.

If I had known I could dress fashionably well for as cheap as I can now I'm positive I would have been a lot more confident in high school. It doesn't really matter now as I'm immensely more confident but regardless of that it would have been amazing.

Thanks /r/streetwear! If it weren't for you guys I wouldn't have been able to develop my own style and more than likely would be dressing like a nine year old.

Streetwear is still pretty new to me so I was just wondering how you got yourself to try a fit that's out of your comfort zone.
