[DISCUSSION] Visiting LA, What are some local streetwear gems i should be checking out?

Posted: 08 Jul 2018 05:15 PM PDT

Travelling from Australia. In Los Angeles for a couple weeks. Already hit up the classic, Round Two on Melrose, Supreme, GOLF on Fairfax and Undefeated on La Brea.

Wondering what local stores/brands i should check out while i'm here. What are the places all the locals hit up without paying for the hype.

[DISCUSSION] Any Chinese brands worth checking out?

Posted: 08 Jul 2018 10:53 AM PDT

So in a coupe of days I'm going on a trip to China, I'll be visiting Shanghai but also Wuxi. Right now I'm trying to expand my wardrobe with some new cool stuff as well as getting into street wear. I am just wondering if there are any cool brands/shops I should be checking out while I'm in Shanghai/Wuxi. I appreciate any help since it's kinda messy to be googling after street wear in China and I had no luck there.

Thank you guys beforehand !

[DISCUSSION] Travelling through Europe, looking to pick up some clothes...

Posted: 08 Jul 2018 11:21 AM PDT

I'll be travelling through East Europe (Budapest, Prague, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania) and am packing light as I do not have much of a wardrobe as is, plus I thought I could pick up some nice pieces throughout the trip.

I would be looking for pieces that are preferably Eastern European inspired of course, and are cheap (fresh university graduate). I don't mind thrifting if its decent out there.

Im not looking for supreme and bape type streetwear, rather something a bit more subtle. Worst to worst ill go hnm or zara...

Does anyone have any experience with the clothing there? Any tips, brand recomms or places to go to shop on the cheap?

[Discussion] Unpopular Opinion: magnus ronning dresses like shit

Posted: 07 Jul 2018 08:34 PM PDT

Alright I already know that title is gonna trigger you neckbeards so hard youll drop your fuckin tendies but hear me out.

I think Magnus Ronning, fashion youtuber, fits are pretty damn garbage. Honestly, I don't see any way that I could give definite proof, because fashion is so inherently subjective. Regardless, I think my opinion should at least open the floor to discussion over what others thoughts might be. I think it's too easy to let yourself be swayed to the norm, so maybe consider my title.

Personally, I think the only reason he made it out of the voting for BDY is not because he dresses objectively well, but because he's overhyped garbage, with a fervent fanbase that will support him and suck his dick over any achievement, no matter how small or insignificant.

All banter aside, however, I legitimately enjoy his videos, follow him on instagram, etc. This isn't me pussying out though, I'm sticking to my guns on this unless an especially compelling opinion is put forth. I'm all ears

[Discussion] Stores in Melbourne, Australia?

Posted: 08 Jul 2018 03:57 AM PDT

I'm flying over to Melbourne soon and never really explored the CBD - second time going there. I heard that Melbourne is really into the streetwear scene compared to Perth, so I'm excited to see that.

I wanted your suggestions on what stores I should visit or any places I should see whilst I'm there? I'm staying in the CBD, near the station. I'm only staying for about 5 days, but I'm willing to travel all around the CBD during the week! Don't really have a price range either, so any suggestions - low/high fashion stores is accepted!

tl;dr - any suggestions on stores/places to visit?

[Review] MNML Black M1 Stretch Jeans Quality

Posted: 06 Jul 2018 09:25 AM PDT

Backstory: I was looking for plain black denim for a good price and decent quality so I took a look on Reddit and everyone said these jeans were great for the price ($65). I purchased their black M1 Stretch jeans in a 33 (I'm a size 32) and oh boy was I surprised when I first put them on.

I bought these because people on Reddit say the quality is great for the price. I would say the quality is the same as $40 Jeans. The stretch was only existing in the thigh area and the material is rougher than a toad. I will say though that the button fly and the ankle zips and the color of the jeans was great.. I guess that's where the money went. Honestly, It feels like I bought forever 21 jeans...

I am personally comparing this quality to the Brand: Crysp Denim. I would've bought their jeans but they don't make plain black. Crysp Denim is slightly less price and the quality is quite a bit higher than MNML's. The fabric is softer, durable and stretchy.

I honestly want to know how people hold MNML as one of the better bang for your buck companies...

(I am not biased towards MNML or Crysp, Both companies do somewhat the same styles for the same price. I just try to find what I want.)
