[ART] 17 yo Fashion design student. Making my first collection influenced by Japanese fashion designers.

*still studying my first year of fashion design. My work is mainly influenced by Japanese designers, mainly Junya Watanabe. I'm a big archival designer clothing collector (Junya, Helmut, Raf, Issey, Comme..) so that also inspired me a lot.

Whole collection is going to be in parachute mood and will include about 12-15 pieces. There'll be parachute backpacks, bondage cargo pants, women pieces as well as more masculine pieces.

Working with heavy fabrics, can be worn in numerous ways. Featuring rare straps and buckles that I bought from secret source in Japan (Junya Watanabe has same supplier).

Let me know what you think. The collection will be done in June 2019 and if there'll be demand I'll negotiate with my local factory to make more pieces.

What's the cheapest (legal) way to get hypebeast denim (ksubi/Fear of God) ? My brother has been raving about these brands for forever and his birthday is coming up in October but I simply can't afford to spend 700$ on jeans. Idk if this the right sub to ask, but I browse it and figured there's a slight chance y'all might know a better quality site/company, would def rather get the highest quality possible....most of the ones I'm seeing on google look pretty buns tbh

Hey everyone, I'm slowly getting into the streetwear world and I really like the grunge/trashed aesthetic and style. I also dig the painted/damaged style of some Off-White stuff (the galaxy hoodie for example) and the Fear of God stuff too but I'm too damn poor to afford it.

I'm looking for good alternatives to OW/FoG and for good brands that give that grunge and distressed look!

If you have anything to recommend I'll be grateful.

How to design your own sneaker? [Discussion]

Hey Guys im really interested in making a sneaker. its going to just be for me to wear. i know i need to start sketching but i dont really know how to start and i cant draw for shit. I think it will be easier for me to learn a program like photoshop or Illustrator. Any tutorials or tips on how to get started and get my ideas onto something more physical

[DISCUSSION] Why are Dickies 874's so damn expensive on websites like Pacsun or ASOS but cheap on the actual Dickies website?

Pacsun and ASOS both sell them for around $60-$70, whereas on Amazon or Dickies they are only ~$20. Is there a difference in quality or is this just these companies being dicks and scamming people buying this product from their websites. Also, how do they fit? Looking at copping my first pair, wondering if the 874s or 873s are better. Please let me know!

Hey! first, nice to be part of this community. and then

I have some shirts and tees that I adore and would love to wear them more often but sometimes I don't wont to overwear them, especially "Streetwear" style where you very recognized(in my area at least).

I think black, navy blue, simply darker pants don't get much attention, so I think you can wear them at least 2 or 3 days per week.

So how do you often manage ?

Do you have like 2 modes, like mode Streetwear for one day and mode basic(simple T and denim) for another day?

Are there any good looking obscure brands that don't look too weird or 'out their' but are not popular yet.

My preference would be sleek looking but anything that looks clean or nice looking is good too.

I've been looking at brands like 'breakfast-club' and 'born dead' which both look nice. I also like vans so anything similar.

Hello everyone! Nice to be a part of this community.

Recently, I have been thinking if I am actually making smart choices throughout my life when choosing what color of shoes to wear or color of pants or top to put on.

Most of the time, I first choose what trousers to wear, then the color of shoes to match and lastly my top. I want to know guys is there any universal way and ground rules when choosing your outfit? Are you using any rule of thumb every morning when you are wondering what colors to choose for a match?

What I am currently doing is looking to match my shoes color with my shirt/t-shirt and be contrasting color with my trousers.

Soo, I will be very happy to hear how you guys choose your outfit and make decisions about the color match!

[Review] Recently copped Rick Owens x Adidas Level Runner Lows and Adidas Alphabounce Instincts. Included in the album are Gazelles signed by Mac DeMarco and my two other favorite pairs of luxury sneakers.

So these are my favorite and most expensive shoes in my collection right now. I picked up both the Rick Owens x Adidas Level Runner Low and the Adidas Alphabounce Instinct recently. The former pair is one of three colorways for the Level Runner that were released with Boost technology integrated. The other two leather pairs are from lesser-known luxury sneaker brands National Standard and ETQ Amsterdam. I've worn the Gazelles even after Mac D signed them for a couple years consistently. I met him after a show and he spoke to my friends and I for a couple minutes each, which was a really cool opportunity.

A long time was spent searching before each of these purchases so this is sort of a cumulative milestone for me. I definitely used to perceive the Ricks as something I couldn't afford but I worked a lot and copped them (albeit at a really good price for a new pair).
