How accurately does the streetwear of this sub reflect the streetwear you guys see out in the real world?

I feel like on this sub, everyone's fits are made for photos. Or WAY more expensive. Irl most of the fits I see around my area are pretty simply and have that effortlessly cool vibe to them. Kinda interesting to see the difference and I'm curious what you guys see

my school pulled some shit and banned jeans for September so I'm going to need some new stuff to wear, affordable trousers or something but I don't have too many ideas since I wear a lot of jeans. where can I cop some "office wear" style trousers that aren't grim and would not cost too much?

[DISCUSSION] By how much do you guys taper your jeans?

Recently I got a pair of Nudies tapered to a 5 3/4 inch opening and while they fit literally perfect and look great with low tops/runners, when I tried them on with my ramones the proportions feel off to me.

Right now I have a waxed black pair of Balenciagas that came with a 7 1/4 inch opening which I think is too wide. However as of right now, they look great with bulky high-tops such as my ramones, but are too "baggy" for low tops or shoes with slimmer silhouettes. I want to wear these jeans mainly with my ramones, but also want to be able to wear them with runners. I afraid of tapering them because I don't want to fuck up what was a quite expensive pair of jeans, but I also want to make them more versatile.

Thoughts?
