How does one dress like Tyler The Creator?

Posted: 24 Dec 2017 09:25 PM PST

I don't want to copy him, I just want to base my wardrobe on his style and aesthetic. I skate so I have the vans down already, but what about pants and shirts?

Fear of God / Jerryboi Hate

Posted: 24 Dec 2017 11:28 AM PST

Just wondering, why is there so much hate for this style? I get that it's played out, and it's an older style, but I feel like cropped pants and striped shirts are overplayed too. Things like vans old skool, docs, and even Balenciaga speedrunners are worn all the time here, but it seems like when people wear layering tees and blown out denim they get roasted. Idk, I know that creativity and originality is big in fashion but I really don't get why this style gets so much hate

Old Skool MTE

Posted: 25 Dec 2017 02:47 AM PST

Since its getting colder and wetter outside, I want to stay cozy but still stylish. Looking around for opinions on the Vans Old Skool MTE took a short stop since there is literally a single post about them on this subreddit.

So I want to know: What is your personal experience with the shoe, are they actually waterproof, should I go for some other shoe (in that case, what shoe?)

Thanks :)

Supreme x Dickies

Posted: 24 Dec 2017 10:40 PM PST

What would you guys think of this? I like both companies very much and am surprised Supreme hasn't done something like this yet, as Dickies is such a big company. This may be because Dickies aren't big in streetwear, and are more work attire. But Dickies are one of the biggest things in the skate community (especially west coast), so it would kind of make sense.

Styles for Muscular Men?

Posted: 24 Dec 2017 02:56 PM PST

I've been into streetwear for 2yrs now (25atm). My fashion before that was to wear anything unique, funky shoes, even a funky casio watch. I get a lot of compliments these days, but I still dont have a fit that works as well as top posts on here.

I see a lot of streetwear I love but as soon as I order pants online I feel it never fits right. I have thick calves, thick thighs, small waist, and of course no tailors in my city won't alter clothes other than hemming pants (they prefer 5min jobs).

Skinny jeans dont fit me at all. Not kidding when I have tried on about 20 pairs and they never go past my thighs or butt. Most pants are tight in certain areas so I can barely lift my legs. Adidas (fav brand) is one brand I know will fit me no matter what, even UNIQLO is a bit hit or miss.

So curious if there's any inspo albums/advice for streetwear that is for muscular/fit bodies? Techwear looks awesome but its hot in my city. Loose fitting clothing can look good, but baggy t-shirts always hang weirdly on me (makes me look fat lol). Sportswear I like working with, but still find most inspo albums with skinny dudes, rather then athletic.

Like my best fit atm is straight fit jeans (thrifted and hemmed), black supima UNIQLO Tee (fits my body shape well, their printed shirts not so much), converse sneakers. Nothing too creative.

I just want to be a tad more creative, so looking for ideas or brands (not as expensive as rick owens), most styles I see are more "malefashion" rather then "streetwear."

My first post, so sorry for breaking any rules! Thanks guys

Amazon Gift Card Thread

Posted: 25 Dec 2017 03:29 AM PST

Many people (myself included) have received an Amazon gift card this Christmas. I'd like to dedicate this thread to suggesting streetwear related things you can buy from Amazon.

Street wear struggles on Christmas

Just realized I have absolutely nothing remotely fancy or smart to wear for Christmas. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Any ideas?

What did you do with all your old clothes?

Posted: 24 Dec 2017 07:59 PM PST

Over the past few years I've really focusing more on the way I dress. Now I'm at a point now where I have a lot of old clothing that I just can't work with ( a lotta graphic tees, handmedowns that don't fit, etc). They're taking up a lot of space in my closet and I'm trying to figure out what to do with them. Have many of you guys sold your old clothes or just given them away to goodwill?

Japanese streetwear shops?

Posted: 24 Dec 2017 08:23 PM PST

Hey everyone. Merry Christmas xD! Just wondering what stores are good in Japan and roughly what are the pricing. Looking for things such as vintage belts and sweaters of luxury brands. Also how much would Rick Owens ramones be and common project lows. Finally how much is the average pricing for bale hoodies? Thanks for all replies!

Hey streetwear, fat guy who is 5’5 here, besides losing weight, what are some tips you guys can share and things I should avoid doing in terms of clothing?

Posted: 24 Dec 2017 08:14 PM PST

Curious as to what I can do in order to improve how I dress, I'm in the process of running and calorie watching to fix this problem but want to start improving how I dress now. I'm not morbidly obese but I'm also not your typical model body here.

Decent thermals?

Posted: 24 Dec 2017 11:21 AM PST

What are some good quality thermals, while on a budget? I've tried H&M but one wash shrunk it to the point it looked ridiculous. So I'm looking for something comfortable, warm, and can hold it's size after a wash?
