Nothing is ever trashed or ruined; some things just need love.

Is there any brands that you guys know that have a cool Post Apocalyptic/Neo Tokyo aesthetic like you see in this picture? I’m trying to explore more styles of clothing.

Will Vlone ever die?

Posted: 08 Jan 2018 12:18 PM PST

Many of us are aware of Bari's sexual assault of a woman. Many thought that this was the end of Vlone - their Nike contract was terminated and they lost any future chances with the Paris fashion show or Off-White. From the beginning, Vlone was controversial. Its lazy designs were not well received, and there were many questionable aspects - printing on Gildan, Russell Athletic and Rothco as well as Bari attacking people who wore his AF1s.

A$AP's response was confusing and underwhelming. A$AP Rocky called Bari a bitch at a concert, only to be seen with him laughing together to a car that same night. Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert, and A$AP Rocky continued to wear Vlone as if nothing ever happened. Some rappers who wear Vlone stayed silent, but A$AP Ferg and others denounced Bari. Ian Connor had his own schadenfreude. No members of A$AP pressured Bari to leave, and he remains in the group.

Vlone saw a major drop in popularity, but it did recover. On Grailed, it went from #16 at the beginning of the year to #25, a big drop that nevertheless shows that Vlone is still big. Many people swore off the brand in addition to those who already disliked it before, but it remains popular. Although not at Vlone's previous heights, the DC, SF, and Miami popups saw healthy attendance. Several of my friends who went there said that the line was about an hour - hour and a half to get inside, and that stock only took 2 days to fully sell out, including a very expensive 600$ FRIENDS- denim jacket. That's not very fast for a popup with not that much clothing, but it is mighty fast given all of the Vlone controversies. People were happy to buy whatever was inside, and A$AP Bari had a lot of photos taken with him. It almost seems to Vlone fans as if Bari didn't do anything wrong. Surprisingly, I asked a person who recently bought a Vlone x Fragments shirt and had a photo with A$AP Bari at the popup if he thought the brand was dead and he said yes.

Vlone values have recovered (although not to the pre - controversy levels ) and the AF1s have in fact become highly sought after and command extreme premiums. Vlone continues to have quite a few supporters on its Instagram, as well as its main rapper supporters. In fact, Vlone's new drop today is beginning to sell out in certain sizes and may completely sell out in a few days.

Vlone has been losing its mainstream appeal Here (DMV), I've seen a few hype beasts and a few people who have bought it for the rap connection wear it. It's not common and a rare sight, but given the controversies and the pricing I was surprised to even see it to begin with. It's quickly disappearing from "Instagram" and "Hypebeast" fashion, and gets bashed on social media. It's also disappeared from many places.

I can see a small and strong supporter base still wear it and that the brand will head underground . There are people who just flat out like the brand because of rap. It's just like how brands can become big after a rapper is seen with them, only the connection is much stronger. I knew a guy who bought a FRIENDS- hoodie and wore it with crocs and sweatpants. He could have really given less of a damn about streetwear or fashion or perhaps even the sexual assault case. Flat out, he just liked rap and liked the strong rap connotations of the brand. I think he's still has it and has continued to wear it. Of course, there are streetwear oriented people who will still like it. Will Vlone ever die? Does it have too much clout to die?

Who can build a decent outfit from Walmart's stock

Posted: 08 Jan 2018 02:52 PM PST

I've been reading through here and seeing posts from people asking who can build a cheap outfit and I've been seeing people list out all these brands and such. But would it be possible to build a decent out fit completely from Walmart. (this is gonna screw my karma)
