[Advert] Giveaway for my new brand Bogue Posted: 12 Aug 2017 04:27 PM PDT Introduction Hey everyone, my name is Nate! I'm 20 years old and grew up around Atlanta. I started a new brand called Bogue with a close friend. I've been apart of this sub for 4-5 years now and ya'll are originally what got me interested in fashion as a whole. I went through a dark period of my life with depression and fashion brought me out of that, instilling a new sense of confidence in me. So first and foremost, thanks to all of you. Brand Information The name Bogue is a iteration of the word Bogus. Which means "unrealistic idea" because to me the idea of being able to start a brand in the first place seemed unrealistic to me, to at least do it in the way I wanted to do it. Everything is cut and sewn, patterns/designs and sizing done by me. Right now we're doing your basics, but depending on our success I plan on moving to a lot more original pieces and patterns. Including women's wear in the near future, as I'm working on a lot of patterns and ideas. First Collection Meaning The first collections designs were inspired by my older brother. He dropped out of highschool in the 9th grade to pursue music fully. He moved to Nashville recently to pursue country music fully, and within 4 months got to play at Grand Ole Oprey and the CMA fest. He inspired me in the sense that I don't have to go to college to follow my dreams. (Although I'm attending college soon to pursue fashion design fully and gain more knowledge about clothing.) My brother passed away a little over a month ago and I planned on telling him that this was completely inspired by him but didn't get the chance to because of the circumstances. So I want to leave a piece of legacy behind to everyone. Giveaway Information I don't want ya'll to do much to enter the giveaway. Just leave a comment and especially leave feedback on everything I've worked on. Since you all got me interested in fashion, your opinions matter to me more than anyone's. I'm going to leave a link to my lookbook below for you all to checkout and whatever piece you most want just add that to your comment. Over the course of a few days I'll pick a few different people. I'll message you all separately for your address and shipping information! LOOKBOOK [https://bogueshop.com/collections/frontpage] INSTAGRAM [https://www.instagram.com/bogue_archive/] EDIT STORE Forgot to link directly to the shop as well if you're interested in pricing or want to purchase something. [https://bogueshop.com/collections/collection-one] Update The feedback is blowing my mind. You guys are awesome. I decided to add a 15% discount code for anyone that wants to buy. Thank you all so much this means the world to me! Code: REDDIT [link] [comments]
[Update] Distressing Denim with Guns Posted: 12 Aug 2017 01:55 PM PDT Hi Everyone! OP of last week's(?) shooting denim thread is here to deliver! I finally found a denim jacket at Salvation Army (who knew finding a denim jacket in the south would be so hard), and I was able to take it to the pasture this morning. Unfortunately, it is a female styled jacket, so I'm not sure what to do with the damn thing (fits too tight on the back/too loose in the stomach). I think it turned out pretty good though! Pictures: Method: I shot back to front with 12 gauge buckshot first. These are the smaller holes you see mid to top of the jacket. I shot all rounds at roughly 10 meters/yards or 30 feet. The second round was double ought buckshot. These are the largest holes in the mid to lower region of the jacket. I shot these front to back, and I think they showed up the best/frayed out of the holes well. I then put about 4 rounds through of .300 blackout. These holes are a bit bigger than the bbs, but not by much. These were shot front to back, and are only slightly more noticeable. To finish it off, I shot four .300s through the chest/"heart" front to back. I liked the look pretty well, but I wish I had put just a couple more through. Thanks for your interest in this little project! Tell me what you think [link] [comments]
Posted: 12 Aug 2017 05:54 PM PDT I'm not talking Hyped brands, but brands similar to Second/Layer, Public School, Chapter, Stuff that would suit a more 'formal' Rick Owens aesthetic, by that I mean a mohair sweater, cropped trousers, Ramones.. Brands that do quality basics, maybe a new twist to them, I'm liking the Jacob Keller look from when he was finishing posting videos but maybe less split hem t's.. [link] [comments]

Getting in touch with M+RC NOIR Posted: 12 Aug 2017 07:05 PM PDT I ordered the Navajo Beige Half Zip Jacket on their last drop in June and I never received a confirmation email or shipping info. My card was charged for it and I haven't received it yet. I tried to get in touch with them about it through Instagram but they haven't responded when I've reached out multiple times. Anyone have an email or phone number or anything else I could try to get in touch with them? [link] [comments]
