My shirt design is being resold as Goldlink merch

Posted: 29 Sep 2017 07:00 PM PDT

today a hypebeast article came out about goldlinks new tour merch, and right off the bat i see my tee at the top in the slideshow of pictures.

i sent goldlink this tee back in february for free because i really fw him and his music. i didn't ask for pictures, shoutouts, rt's. nor did i want any. i simply sent it to him because it'd be cool knowing people i respected owned my clothing.

a few months later, now, i find out that it is being resold for his merch. i understand it is just 1 of 1 but i believe the principle is still there. i wouldn't have even cared if he didn't wear it, threw it away, or even gave it to someone, but the fact that he took a shirt i sent him for free and resold it as his merch without my permission nor any recognition bothers me.

some of my friends tried contacting the actual designers working under goldlink who "made" these shirts, heres some of their responses.

my main concern is that there are other brands who are also being recycled and sold. luckily my tee was posted on the gallery and i was able to see it, but who knows how many other brands are being used without them knowing.

at the end of the day i'm a really small brand and i'm just trying to make it out there. i as well as many other startup brands put lots of work into our designs, so seeing someone making it on hypebeast because they used my design is discouraging.

[Review] Steady Hands Apparel Racing Sweater

I just got this in today from the release last weekend, which sold out. But , there is a Pre-Order for the second drop of these. I'm really happy with it so I felt like sharing my thoughts on this dope brand.

Quality: Once I got it out of the bag, I immediately noticed how soft this thing was. I have another sweater of theirs which I've always thought was comfortable but this one is on another level. The inside is a nice weave and the hem/cuffs aren't flimsy in the slightest

Fit: My other sweater is a size L (which I also reviewed, here) and I was recommended to order the same size, so I got this in a large too. The body is an excellent length, and not too boxy or fitted. Flows pretty solidly too. Sleeves are just the right length too. (5'10" 135 Lbs for reference)

Comfort: I can't say anything other than its extremely comfortable. The weave has decent size "loops" so it's really soft. Great thickness to toss on over a tee and chill in.

There's also a small embroidered logo which is a really sick and sleek detail.

Basic street wear starter

Posted: 29 Sep 2017 03:12 PM PDT

I'm a teenager and I've saved up $400 to buy clothes with. I like no tone with dark colors but don't really know what to get. I'd like to ask for help for what to buy. I want to stand out a bit too. Please give feedback.

Outfit Diversity in High School?

Posted: 29 Sep 2017 05:16 PM PDT

Hi,

I'm a freshman in high school (so I don't have a job), and lately I've had a difficult time keeping my outfits different and new. I have a cycle of about 7 outfits that I wear that just goes on repeat, and since I see a lot of the same people every day, I fear that it's starting to become more noticeable. My parents are fairly strict with spending money on shoes, so I have very limited versatility (my only shoes are Stans). For anyone else struggling with this, I'm curious to know how you keep your outfits new and what not.

Thanks.

Experiences with A COLD WALL*?

Posted: 29 Sep 2017 03:43 PM PDT

Hello.

I have during the last month made two orders from the brand A COLD WALL. On the first order I have only recieved one mail telling that the product is in it's making. But that's like three weeks ago. I have also tried to mail the brand and asking for information, but no answer from them for over three days now. Have someone in this subreddit ordered from ACW before and been in a similar situation like me right now? How much longer will I have to wait to even get my order shipped? Thanks.

I'm making a basic streetwear starter pack, and I need some advice on shoes

Posted: 29 Sep 2017 10:46 AM PDT

So I've saved up for a while and want to invest in a lot of basic pieces that I can combine in many ways to create good outfits. Nothing special, think denim jackets, black jeans, and some hoodies.

I want about 4 pairs of shoes, two white and two black. As it stands I'm thinking:

Vans Old Skools - Classic shoes, go well with everything and will be good because I've recently started skating.

Black Ultraboost 3.0 - Stylish black shoe, and apparently REALLY comfortable.

White NMD Gum Pack - Not a fan of the white ultraboost 3.0s, so I've chosen these instead.

Nike Air Force 1 Low - A boxier white shoe and looks pretty classic.

What do you guys think?

Off-White hoodie has a bubble or a piece of its patch/sticker thing that peeled off the fabric. It is in the middle of the sticker so doesn't affect it too much besides looking annoying. Can I use an iron or something to even it out?

Posted: 29 Sep 2017 07:33 PM PDT

I have the Off-White hoodie mirror mirror and there's a patch on the front that has a small part of it in the middle that peeled off somehow. I know Virgil used to use iron on designs but wasn't sure if he still did/ what an iron will do to it. Any ideas how to fix it?
