Custom map of TOKYO (Fashion Stores +) W.I.P

Hi Guys,

I put together a google map of the best fashion stores that Tokyo has to offer, i'm constantly updating it with new stores that open and ones that have closed down. There are other location points added into the map such as niche coffee shops and a few food places that I have visited personally and recommend however this will be something that I will be looking to improve on with time.

I find it handy to have on my phone so when i'm there i don't need to constantly waste time searching for places and be glued to my phone i can simple open google maps and see whats in the vicinity. Let me know your thoughts and if you have any suggestions of places to add in please let me know.

I'm collecting some data for a paper for my scientific writing / economics class and would like to ask you fashion-aware people to answer a quick 13 questions about fashion habits, and we would like some additional data from streetwear fans.

[Tutorial] Introduction to thrifting asian fashion online

You will like this if your local thrift store does not have what you're looking for or you are interested in what vintage asian fashion was like. There is a range of everything here but predominantly japanese fashion with a fair amount as memorabillia given to workers from Japanese companies so you might be able to find some souvenir car company or boss coffee jackets. There are also Japanese sportswear brands such as Mizuno or Yonex in addition to Japanese University baseball or sports jackets. Western brands that are popular in Japan such as Alpha industries, Adidas and Champion are there too.

Yes, you will need to learn to use taobao and no, it's not full of reps. Believe it or not, there is more real clothing than fake on this website. The easiest way is to use an agent like Superbuy or ytaopal.

These agents will buy stuff for you and store it in their warehouse before shipping it to you. Shipping is based on weight and the more things you buy, the cheaper the rate so buying more than one piece is recommended.

It is also recommended to measure your well fitting clothes and compare it to the size chart. E.g. If you want to buy a bomber jacket, measure your favourite bomber jacket or something similar if you don't have one. The size chart can be translated with chrome autotranslate or using picture translate from the mobile app. The washtags are also usually in Japanese so you will need the app if you want to know the materials composition.

The taobao searchbar takes english input but you will get best results entering "Vintage 日系". You can further refine your results by entering 男装 or 女装 (mens or womens clothes), 夹克 jacket, 裤子 trousers, T恤 t shirt and by materials like 羊毛 wool or 棉 cotton.
