[DISCUSSION] StockX Damaged My Blimp Tee and Now They're Blaming Me - Need advice Posted: 01 Nov 2017 04:29 PM PDT I recently sold a Deadstock, White, Small Blimp Tee to StockX. It arrived at their facility on Friday, October 27th and had been awaiting fulfillment until today, Wednesday, November 1st. I got an email today saying this - "Thank you for selling your Supreme Tee on StockX. We received the Tee, but it did not pass our verification process due to having a mark below the neck lining, " followed by these pictures : https://imgur.com/a/e6nUn In this email, they mentioned that they would normally charge 15% of the sales price, but in this case, because of my upstanding profile, they would waive the fee and mail it back to me. The problem is: When I mailed the shirt, it was sealed in plastic and completely clean, there were no markings on, in, or around the collar. Which can be seen in these pictures here: https://imgur.com/a/ScPnT I've emailed their customer service back saying that the marking was not on the shirt from when I mailed it and that it was sealed in plastic so the marking had to have come from their facility. I received an email back shortly after telling me that "We had to remove it from the plastic bag to inspect the tee. By doing this, we found the faults below the neck lining." This is very frustrating because the customer service person who responded must not have read the rest of the email, where I showed pictures of the shirt without the dirt, while it was sealed in plastic. It is completely apparent that the dirt came from the improper handling of the shirt by StockX employees, for which I'm supposed to be responsible for. I have yet to hear back from StockX after I responded outright saying "There is no reason for me to be held liable for the mishandling of goods at your facility." Apparently, this has happened more than once: https://www.reddit.com/r/streetwear/comments/78cibb/discussion_authentic_supreme_shirt_failed_stockxs/ To anyone who got this far: DO NOT SELL SUPREME ON STOCKX. THEY WILL MISTREAT THE CLOTHES AND THE BLAME WILL FALL ON YOU. I DON'T WANT ANYONE ELSE IN COMMUNITY TO HAVE TO HAVE THE SAME POOR EXPERIENCE. What should I do beyond this? It's a shame a legitimate seller should have to go through these steps. EDIT: After hitting them up on Twitter, I emailed them again and James responded saying they were going to honor the original payout amount. [link] [comments] | ||
