A follow up to my "Don't be ashamed" post from yesterday

Posted: 06 Nov 2017 02:40 AM PST

I've seen a lot of people bring up sweatshops and slave labor as one reason that you "should" be ashamed of where you buy your clothes from. To those people I say, remember that not everyone has the money to buy "ethically made" clothing. Many of us are poor and just want to have nice style, so we shop at places where trendy clothing that looks good is sold. I'm not defending the shitty practices, just the character of the people who buy from these places. They don't need to be ashamed.

That's about it.

Is Uniqlo produced in fair labor? And if not, where can I get some basic normal priced clothing?

Posted: 05 Nov 2017 03:07 PM PST

I only saw good stuff about the manufacturing procedures of Uniqlo, but I wanted to be safe that they are manufacturing their clothing without forgetting human rights. And if not, are there some other good, normal priced brands which are manufactured with fair labor? I was pretty much only buying clothing from good brands and it's getting pretty expensive if I need to pay $70 for every basic tee from John Elliot.

Let's talk about Cav Empt

Posted: 05 Nov 2017 02:22 PM PST

No doubt the brand is unique. But I think the prices are way higher than most streetwear brands, some pieces at retail being comparable to designer stuff. Is the quality really good? Exclusivity? Hype? I'd like to hear your opinion.

Anyone else out there use Pinterest when it comes to streetwear?

Posted: 05 Nov 2017 09:14 PM PST

Anyone else feel like they’re in a rut fashion wise? For a while I had felt like I found my style but now I’m completely lost.

Where is the line drawn that determines streetwear from menswear

Posted: 05 Nov 2017 07:18 PM PST

I see many people saying that streetwear isn't what it used to be and that it is now just mfa. Some would say that a lot of the fits in the wdywt thread shouldn't even be in there because they are not streetwear. I just want to get your opinions on this. Thanks

What does the brand you wear say about you?

Posted: 05 Nov 2017 02:30 PM PST

Lots of streetwear brands out today -- with a few really leading the pack -- and a lot of people wearing a lot of the same stuff. What's the most common scenario: Do people have a style first then pick brands/products that reflect their own style? Or, do people select brand/products that create a style for them?
