While I take a lot of ideas from streetwear, I realize I can't really call it my style.

I'm sort of all over the place, mixing surf, vintage, sport, hiphop, preppy, and prettyboy styles depending on the look I want that day. I'm pretty eclectic, colorful, and never really followed trends unless I liked the look.

I just don't know where to follow or find people that dress like me! There are some females I like but I can't find any dudes. Are there are subs or blogs for more eclectic funky urban fashion?

[Discussion] Price Points

I am posing this question for the whole sub. Is the fact that a brand is actually noticed by everyone a major incentive for purchasing your clothing? I noticed that most of the forum has a mix of people who are thrifty but also those who are really into the name brands.

I love certain brands like anyone else, but I am conflicted at times because I do not think something is really worth a huge price that most consumers pay for. Something I think though is that anyone who is in this type of business will say quickly is for some reason humans are naturally inclined to want to "flex" on others that they have the newest and most expensive stuff. It is in our nature. So do you all agree with that?

I think overall unless you are a part of the streetwear culture deeply, most people do not even know the difference between a Bape jacket and something a local brand made. So what drives people to buy Bape?

Please comment on how you go about finding clothes and even how you find brand names like Supreme at maybe discounted prices.

[DISCUSSION] What Makes A Brand Or Design "Trash"?

What makes something trash? For example, I'm trying to start an entire new wave in streetwear right now and everyone is saying my stuff is trash. They crap on it so hard and I have no idea why. People even went back in my history and posted a link to my website in threads where I was asking for advice just to make fun of it. I've sunk every penny I have into this brand and all it's getting is hate. My website design was based off a few peoples' websites, one of them being the ian connor revenge storms and that website sold 500k in a day. But you might say well he has celebrity connections but when big name celebrities like kendall jenner wear my clothing people make fun of that too. Supreme sells a brick for $60 so I go and top that with selling air but I'm trash for it? Balenciaga makes fun of Bernie's campaign logo and it's the hottest item of the year. I make fun of Spirit Airlines (a way more controversial organization) and I'm trash. And then I thought well fanny packs were trash 2yrs ago now theyre super popular so people wearing my brand are ahead of the trend so i made ads based on that with taglines like "So Bad It's Good" and spent $200 on ads and didn't even get a single Add To Cart. So I ask all this to ask: what makes something trash? Is it first impression? Do people just want to hate on things? Or am I just terrible?
